Tea Ceremonies

Tea ceremony

A tea ceremony is not something you “do.” It’s something that holds you. These soothing gatherings don’t require charisma, speed or multitasking. Instead, they offer simple presence.

This is the medicine many of us are quietly longing for.

Not another class.
Not another social gathering.
Not another space where we have to perform, explain, impress, think of what to say, or keep up.

What to expect

There’s nothing you need to bring and nothing you need to do to prepare for a tea ceremony. You are welcomed to the space warmly and lovingly. We gather in a covered private space outdoors if weather permits, or indoors for comfort as needed. You may choose to sit on the floor/ground or in a chair. Blankets and cushions are provided. Phones and devices are turned off and do not physically accompany us in ceremony.

You belong here. There is a reason you are here. You are seen. You are an important part of this gathering. There are no cliques. No one is more important than anyone else.

Your nervous system begins to settle in and soften.

Tea

You are served tea with honor. We sip quietly together, softening into the depths of our individual experiences while feeling the silent support of community. After we finish our final bowls, we open the space to discussion and sharing. Speaking is optional.

The tea is simple and carefully chosen, but what you receive is more than the tea itself. The ceremony offers an invitation to clarity, calm and permission to be exactly who you are.

You are not late. You are beginning something that could only begin now.
